District Support In TB Work Apart from the above participation by different NGOs, the District level RNTCP support
services were implemented through special teams comprising of Medical Officers, Senior
Treatment Supervisors and Senior Tuberculosis Laboratory Supervisors. The participation
of the RNTCP programme was implemented in the district of Guntur in Andhra Pradesh
after the signing of MOU between Government and Swiss Emmaus - India.
The following are the details of RNTCP participation by DTST in Guntur District.

TB Progress Review and Training
All the NGO projects of Swiss Emmaus - India involved in RNTCP - TB programme
participated in the training programmes organized at Coonoor in Tamilnadu for Southern
Region, Lonawala in Maharashtra for Western Region and at Jhargram in West Bengal for
Eastern Region.
